There are so many places to visit in PA during the holiday season. Here are a few to enjoy…and always remember the real reason we celebrate Christmas.
Chanukah Celebration and Menorah Lighting at Longwood Gardens (December8, 2008)
PA Tree Growers (Christmas trees)
The Nutcracker by Pennsylvania Ballet
The Nutcracker by the PA Youth Ballet
A Christmas Carol Play in Harrisburg
My favorites (along with all the lights..) are the live nativity scenes.
Here’s one at a church in Honeybrook
One at the American Civil War museum in Gettsyburg
Here’s one at Middletown Baptist Church in Pittsburgh (I love when those shepherds wear gloves!)
Here’s an “old time Christmas” at Quiet Valley Farms in Stroudsburg
A Brandywine Christmas at the Brandywine River Museum with lots of model trains and much more! A great way to spend an afternoon with the kids – or just to enjoy!
Beaver County has a Festival of Trees that is also a benefit to children.
Western PA’s Model Railroad Museum…open weekend from Nov. to Dec.
How about a Christmas vacation in the Poconos?
Read about PA German Christmas traditions
I’m willing to add more to the list since there are tons of other places I don’t know of! Just let me know.
ENJOY!

I don’t believe I saw this on your list.
There is a place on Rt 30 just past Gap. It is called the National Christmas Museum. I am not sure if there is a website or not.
We got there every year!
Thanks — I added it!
